School Age Kids Programs

Our goal is to create a friendly and inviting program where your school age child will feel welcome and respected. Your child will have the opportunity to foster new friendships & independence, and learn new skills in a safe & secure environment that will encourage positive self-esteem and a positive self-image…and most importantly have FUN too!

Room Schedule

Our school age program is licensed for 30 children ages 6-12 years old.We have two full time teachers working with the children.Space permitting, up to 8 JK/SK children may also be enrolled.

Room Structure

Your child will be involved in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities.

The teachers will plan a weekly schedule with input from your child. Year round programs for school age children including Summer Camps.

School Age Kids Program Information

We offer: before/after school programs, full day pd day/school holiday programs and summer camps. Children are walked to and from school, escorted by their classroom teachers. Children enrolled in our School Year Program will have first opportunity to enroll in our summer camp programs.

School Year Program: Runs from September - End of June

Before & After School care for children attending Trillium Woods ES

Full day care for March Break, Christmas Break, PD days and snow days

Summer Camp Program: Runs July – Labour Day

Summer camp - 7am-6pm, Monday-Friday
Registration for summer camp begins first week of March
Camp runs from the end of June to Labour Day.

Before/After School Program: We provide an afternoon snack for the children enrolled in the before/after school program. We provide 2% milk or water plus a nutritious snack based on Canada’s Food Guide. Please see the menu posted on our parent board.
PD days/Christmas Break/March Break/Summer Camp: The children will be required to “brown bag it” during these programs. Children should bring a morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack daily. Children should also pack a drink for the day.

In keeping with our philosophy, we encourage the children to pack a litterless lunch. NO PEANUT or NUT PRODUCTS PLEASE!

Aids children in developing strong conflict resolution skills
Allows children a sense of autonomy, and allows children to function as independent problem solvers

And as equally important, FUN!

We have a wonderful outdoor area for the children to play including: tether balls, an organic garden, a sports field, outdoor easels, block area, natural gardens, and enough room (2 acres) to play all different kinds of cooperative games and sports.

There is also an ice rink in the winter and a wonderful sports court including: Tennis, road hockey, a basketball court, 4 Square, Kings Court.
