Before & After School Care

Discovery Child Care is a fully licensed child care facility committed to creating a healthy environment for the children in our care.  Our school-age program walks all the children to and from school (a little bit of exercise!), safely escorted by their classroom teachers, so you don't have to worry about transportation.

We provide a fun, engaging, and educational environment that gives children an enjoyable change of pace from their typical school day.

We offer before and after school programs for children attending Trillium Woods Elementary School.

Our Programs

Our school-age programs allow the children to have input on weekly activities. We have a selection of optional programs available including:

  • Computer centre with educational software
  • Dramatic play
  • Creative Arts
  • Math, science, literacy
  • Games
  • Homework centre
  • Building/construction
  • Soccer field
  • Organic gardening program
  • Tether balls, cooperative games & sports

    Harvie Road School-Age Program:

    • For children enrolled at Trillium Woods Elementary School
    • Less than 5 minute walk to program (450 metres)
    • A fun, school-age program that children really WANT to attend!
    • Before and after school, PD days, school holidays, summer camp
    • Beautiful 1.77 acre treed property - connecting children with nature
    • Sports court including tennis, basketball, 4 square
    • Skating rink (skating and hockey after school all winter)

    **Additionally, school-age children enrolled in our "School Year Program" will have a first-choice opportunity to enroll in our popular summer camp programs.

      Meals and Snacks

      Children in our Before/After school program will be provided with a healthy snack when they return from school (based on Canada's Food Guide) Children enrolled in full day school age programs (PD days, school holidays) are required to bring their lunch and snacks daily.
